Jeanne M Sofsky

Jeanne M. Sofsky, 83, of Auburn passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, at Crouse Hospital.  Born in Auburn, NY on July 29, 1941, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Norman and Marion Burke Filkins.

She was previously employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Mercy Hospital in Auburn. Jeanne had a love for traveling. Over the years she went on may trips and cruises with her late husband, John, including several trips to Europe and Cape Cod every summer. 

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Sherene Lamontagne; her grandchildren, Therese, Jenna, Gabrielle, Erin, Quinn and Hannah; and one great grandchild, Sage Gaunciale.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, John Sofsky Jr. in August of 2023.

A memorial mass will be held 11am on Friday, November 15, 2024  in Sacred Heart Church 90 Melrose Rd. Auburn. Friends may visit with the family prior to mass from 10-11am church.
