Jeffrey P. Polhamus, 73, of Aurora passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. Jeffrey was born in Auburn, NY on March 26, 1953, to the late Harry F. and Lucille C. Bixler Polhamus.
Jeff owned and operated a trash removal business as a young man and enjoyed a farming career lasting five decades. Together with Barbara, they owned Sunrise Dairy Farm and specialized in organic crops. He enjoyed bowling and volleyball, known for his powerful slam.
Jeffrey is survived by his partner of 37years, Barbara King, along with her daughter and granddaughter, Andrea King and Pearl Skates; his daughters, Teresa (Stephen) Hetherington and Michelle (Joseph Jr.) Alcock; his grandchildren, Jaynne Alcock, DaeLynn Alcock, Alexandra (Kyle) Reilley and Nathan Hetherington; his great grandchildren, Natalie and Jameson Reilley; his siblings, Linda White of Owego, Sarah Short of Auburn, Daniel Polhamus of Union Springs, Catherine (David) Hobart of Moravia and Jennie Stearns of Auburn; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was predeceased by sisters, Rebecca Polhamus, Barbara Whiffen and Nancy Polhamus; and his brothers, Burdette Greenway, Thomas Greenway, Frances Polhamus and Raymond Polhamus.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
