Joan had one disappointment in life, and that was when the LIV Golf Tour started, and some PGA Tour players joined. She was an avid golfer in her day and loved following Scotty Scheffler and Tiger Woods. She even cooked fried chicken for legendary golfer Billy Casper and his family. She enjoyed talking about golf with her son-in-law Mark, and grandsons, Tony and Phil, all are avid golfers. They loved to joke with her about the LIV Golf Tour and how much she disliked it. But that was Joan, you couldn’t change her mind!
She enjoyed her birds and flowers, and having her entire family around her all the time. That meant the most to Joan. She was queen of the Thanksgiving stuffing and her baked beans. Joan was an enthusiastic supporter of her grandchildren's sports. She especially loved watching Tyler play baseball and football and was very rowdy while in the stands.
The family wishes to thank Joan's doctors; Thomas Welch, her cardiologist who she adored, and thought was so handsome. She would always get dressed up for those appointments, makeup and all. Thank you to Dr. Petrosino, her nurses, Mark and Karleigh, who were both so kind to her. Also, Claire and Dale at Active Physical Therapy, who treated her so kind.
She had special friends at the Westshore Apts., Barbara, Bonnie, Joan and Bueleh, who always took care of her. As well as Carol Gonyea and Sandra Balbuena, who were very special to Joan.
Per Joan’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Joan did not like sadness, she wanted a big party instead. There will be a celebration of her life in the near future. “This is not goodbye, but until we meet again. There you'll be.”
