John W. Davis, 78, of Auburn, passed away on March 6, 2025, at his home. Born in Auburn on December 12,1946, John was the son of the late Irwin and Helen (Burke) Davis. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. John was a sponsor with Narcotics Anonymous (NA). His involvement with NA was extremely important to him.

Later in life, John returned to college, attending Cornell University and acquiring his PhD.
John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Chihiro) Kato; his siblings, Howard Davis, Judith Mohr and Larry Davis; his grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Justin Davis, Jordain Davis and Daniel Kato; his great grandchildren, Joshua and Bailey Davis; along with several nieces and nephews.
