John C. Spinelli

John C. Spinelli, 91, of Auburn, passed away on May 14th, 2026, at Auburn Community Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. John was born in Auburn, NY on November 4th, 1934, son of the late Rocco and Julia (Busce) Spinelli. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1954-1957. John was previously employed as an inspector with Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, NY for over 28 years. He was an outdoorsman who loved golfing, camping, gardening, woodworking, bird watching, and enjoyed his stained-glass projects. John spent many winters in Ocala, Florida with his loving wife, Patricia Vinette Ziegler Spinelli.

John is survived by his wife, Patricia and their eight children and stepchildren, Elizabeth (Gene) Garrad, JoAnn (Joseph) Sperduti, Ruth (Tim) Gerry, Laura (Donald) Dushane, John Spinelli Jr., Linda (Tim) Atwood, Gregory (Kathy) Ziegler, and Krista (Gyle) Clements.

In addition to his parents, John was also predeceased by his brother, Vincent Spinelli and his sister, Jeanette Howard.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 10am in the United Methodist Church, 99 South Street, Auburn, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
