Katherine Sementelli

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine “Kathy” Sementelli, beloved by many at Willard, Gavras Center, Unity House and Kelberman. Kathy was the last of her family line. She was predeceased by all of her family, including her parents, Caroline E. and James Sementelli; and her best friend, Daniel Petrosino. Several close friends that she teased and “hassled” frequently will miss our extra spicy golden girl most.

Kathy was unapologetically exactly who she was, and we loved her for it. She was a great friend and had a phenomenal sense of humor. Kathy loved to make others laugh, smile and she enjoyed her purses, playing Uno and rummy, making gifts to present to others. Lastly, she really looked forward to that Friday afternoon beer. She adored Steve Harvey, Tony Orlando, Lucille Ball and the original Dark Shadows TV show. She often asked how her hair looked and if she looked like one of her favorite characters, Rose Dawson.

Interment will take place Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00am in West Bloomfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
