Kenneth E. Shaft

Kenneth E. Shaft Jr., 82 of the Boyle Center, passed away on Christmas, December 25, 2024 at his home. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. Sr. and Eleanor Morgan Shaft and was a Veteran, having served with the United States Army. He was employed with Sylvania in Seneca Falls for more than thirty years and also worked for Brown and Sons TV Repair doing what he loved, repairing televisions. Ken's life was spending time and keeping up with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed dancing, telling jokes, hunting, watching old western films and collecting guns. Ken was an avid volunteer with St. Mary's Church, cooking in the kitchen and calling numbers at Bingo. He adored horses, being around them as much as he could, and he absolutely loved scratching off lottery tickets. 

He is survived by two daughters Lisa McCall (Nathan) and Amy Besner; one son Kenneth "Butch" Shaft III (Kimberly Wilson); grandchildren Charles Ryan (Nicole), Stephen Shafft, Caleb Ryan, Aarron Shafft, Rebecca Ryan-Griep (Jake); great grandchildren Mary, Elizabeth and Emma Ryan, Madison and Jenna Griep, and Ryan, Elaina and Ethaniel Shafft; six sisters, and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by three brothers; one sister Sharon Cardinale; and nephew David Martinez.

There are no services to be conducted at this time. A celebration of Ken's life will be held in the Spring. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
