Kevin W Greenwood

Kevin Walter Greenwood, 75, of Sennett, New York, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 15th, 2024 while mowing lawn on his property. Kevin was a lifelong resident of Sennett, the son of the late Walter and Vera Greenwood, who successfully ran the Greenwood Polled Hereford Farm where Kevin was raised completing whatever tasks needed. He graduated from Weedsport Central School, class of 1966. He served our country proudly in the Navy from 1966 to 1972. He was a member of the LaBuff Cole American Legion Post #911 in Cato, New York. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked as a lineman for the New York Telephone Company, a source of pride for him. For many years Kevin could be found enjoying fishing and hunting on his property and the surrounding area.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years (52 on 5/20) Kathleen Ryan Greenwood, his son Shannon Greenwood and his wife Kristen Trejos, his daughter Meghan Karlson and her husband Ernest Karlson, his four grandsons whom he loved beyond measure - his itty bitty buddies - Christopher and Nicholas Karlson and Everett and Hartley Greenwood, several nieces and nephews, an aunt, Bernadette Lewis, from Portville, NY and an aunt, Lynn Leonard, from Sulphur, LA, some cousins and several relatives in Ireland.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024; from noon-2pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive Weedsport.
