Laura Michalow, 90, formerly of Throop, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the Commons on St. Anthony. Born September 28, 1934, in Montezuma, Laura was the daughter of the late Howard and Regina Butler Young. In her younger years, she was employed with Dunn & McCarthy and Sylvania, and lastly Bo-Mer Plastics in Auburn. Laura enjoyed sewing, gardening, and taking care of people. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
She is survived by two daughters Jean Weaver (Bill) and Susan Michalow; one son Edward Michalow; one sister Nancy Connors; grandchildren Melanie Morrissette (Jon), Melissa Evans, Heidi Bovee (Paul), Mark Michalow (Christine), John Michalow and Regina Michalow (Charlie); several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Laura is predeceased by her son William; sisters Marion Brown, Virginia Young and Jean Carner; and grandchildren Shelly Michalow, Amy Brooks and Eric Titus.
Laura’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing 6th floor staff at The Commons at St. Anthony, for their incredible love and care over the past year and a half. Your dedication truly made a difference.
Services will be held this Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Kingdom Hall, 2468 Willowbrook Road, Auburn. A graveside service will be held in the Spring in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop.
Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn.
