Linda J. Treat, 57, of Auburn passed away Saturday, April 27 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by those she loved. Linda was born in Auburn on November 27, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Carl E. and Joyce T. (Poirier) Treat. Linda graduated from Auburn High School and was employed at TRW for many years. She enjoyed softball and played on many local softball leagues, she also enjoyed bowling, fishing and golf. Linda faithfully attended her nephew and nieces’ sporting events, and had a special bond with each of them. She will be remembered as a caring and generous person, who was loved by all. Linda had a “Heart of Gold”, truly caring about people, animals , and their well being. Linda always shared a smile and was a joy to be with.
Linda is survived by her family, who loved and cared for her, sisters, Terry Jordan and Tracy Wild and her husband Tom; Linda especially enjoyed the memories she shared with her nephew and nieces, Christopher Wild, Sarah Wild and fiancee’ Bill Seneca and Haley Saltrelli and her husband Eric , she is also survived by her aunt Mary Poirier, her uncle Donald Poirier, cousins and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother-in-law Seward “Chip” Jordan Jr.
Friends may visit with Linda’s family Thursday, May 2, from 4-7 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, 197 South St, Auburn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop.
