Martin "Marty" H. Casler

Martin H. "Marty" Casler, 67 of Cayuga Road, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Born February 1, 1957, he was the son of the late Harold and Genevieve O'Connor Casler and was a graduate of Union Springs High School, Class of 1975. Marty was a longtime member the Rochester, Syracuse and Central New York Laborers Unions and was employed with Casler Masonry for many years. A loveable and fun-loving guy, Marty enjoyed taking care of his lawn and the company of his friends at Snapper's Tavern. 

He is survived by his loving wife, best friend and soulmate of over twenty years, Deborah A. Matro Casler; sister Maureen Gelsi; brothers Michael Casler (Susan) and Matthew Casler (Nancy); stepdaughter Danielle Matro; grandsons Logan, Carter, Blake and Easton Friedel; sisters in law Cheri Machemer (Ken), Cindy Schmid (Joe), Michelle Matro, and Kimberly Phillips (Bill); several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn. 

Contributions may be made in memory of Marty to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
