Mary L. Hunter

Mary L. Hunter, 70 of Syracuse passed away Thursday January 22, 2026 in Upstate Medical Center. Born in Syracuse February 24, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Katherine C. Hanion Hunter and a graduate of East Syracuse High School. She was employed in Quality Control for many years with Landis Plastics of Syracuse, and before that worked in Syracuse City School Districts.  Mary was a hard worker, always making sure to provide for her family and above all she was the best mom and grandma. She was a lover of all animals and especially loved Disney and Mickey Mouse.

She is survived by her children John Hunter, Bobby Jo Herzog, and Teressa Bachman (Vince); siblings Clarence Hunter, Charles Hunter, Fred Hunter and Patricia Koslowski; grandchildren Isabella, Noah, Gabriel, Maryanne, Jeremy, Kendra, Andrew, Caleb, Leia, Gianni, Jacob and Daniel; her beloved dog Chewy; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one son Danny Lee Herzog; and siblings Joe, Jim and Lillian Hunter.

Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Dewitt will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
