Maryanne Kerwin, 75, of Auburn, passed away December 31, 2023, at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn on December 20, 1948, Maryanne was the daughter of the late John R. and Gloria (Wood) McKeon. She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel, class of 1966 and was previously employed with Auburn Memorial Hospital for 30 years. Maryanne was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and bowled on various leagues in her younger years. She loved to have a good time and opened her home to family and friends for countless gatherings and parties over the years. Maryanne embodied kindness, generosity, and the importance of family. She enjoyed picnics, day trips to wineries, monthly dinner dates with her two sisters and being with loved ones. Travelling with family was very special to Maryanne. She took multiple trips with her husband and children, visiting, Hawaii, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and her favorite, Ireland. She cherished her family and the time she shared with them.
Maryanne is survived by her children, Veronica (Joseph) Ruggiero, Bridgette (Robert) Earle and Thomas James Kerwin II (Christen Paceheco); her sisters, Kathleen (Harold) Steinbacher and Theresa (Thomas) Stincic; her grandchildren, Mariah (Cody) Cottrell and Sarah (Sean) Fleming; her great grandchildren, Kaeden James Fleming and Beckham Dean Cottrell, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Maryanne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas J. Kerwin and her brother, John McKeon.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 5th from 3pm - 6pm in White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, 197 South Street, Auburn NY. A Mass of Christian will be in St. Mary's Church on Saturday at 11am. Entombment will be held privately for family in St. Joseph Cemetery.
