Michael H. Willis

Michael H. Willis, 59 of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his home. Born in Auburn, Michael is the son of Gary and Jean Willis and was a graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1981. Following graduation, he attained his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. Michael was an enthusiastic supporter of Syracuse Basketball, the NY Mets and had a passion for sports in general. For many years, he resided in Arizona where he was employed in the waste management industry. He returned to Auburn in 2010 to be closer to his family, offering continued support and assistance whenever it was needed. Michael found great joy in spending time with his family and took pleasure in working in the yard, garden and going on his daily walks. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his sister Victoria Gosline (Donald); his brother Gary Willis (Carol); nieces and nephews Danielle and Meghan Gosline, Christopher and Morgan Willis, and Connor and Rachael Willis. 

Michael was predeceased by his brother Scott Willis; and great nephew Nikolai Michael St. Pierre. 

Calling hours will be conducted Friday, February 9, 2024 from Noon to 2 pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
