Michele A. Smith

Michele A. Smith, 65, of Auburn, passed away on November 2, 2025, at the Matthew House. Born in Auburn on March 10, 1960, Michele was the daughter of the late Ned T. and Marilyn Crawford Smith.

Michele was a graduate of Cayuga Community College. She was an avid reader and had a love for her animals throughout her life. She was proud of her Irish heritage and shared a special bond with her grandmother Florence (Walsh) Crawford.

Michele is survived by her sister, Lori (Gary) Reed, her nephews, Brady and Matthew Reed, Alex Johnston and Trevor Smith, along with many cousins and aunts and an uncle.

In addition to her grandparents and parents, Michele was predeceased by her brothers, Gary T. Smith and David S. Smith.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Michele's memory to The Matthew House or the SPCA of Cayuga County.

A special thank you to all the kind staff for the wonderful care that was given to her during her time at Matthew House.

Services for Michele will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
