Nancy M. Tokarz, 80 formally of West Lake Road, Auburn, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 in The Commons on St. Anthony. Born in Auburn on September 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Tokarz. Nancy's lifelong calling was teaching. She was employed with the Arlington Massachusetts School District and a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. While employed, she attained her Doctorate in Education from Harvard University and took great pride in being such a dedicated professional. Nancy traveled the world, visiting China, Russia and Africa, to name a few and also taught in Poland for a year. She loved all things Boston, including the Red Sox and Patriots and was able to attend World Series and Superbowl games. Nancy was a wonderful and loving person and will certainly be missed by those fortunate to have known her.
She is survived by her companion, Thomas Ryan; nephews David Tokarz (Diane) and Paul Tokarz; sister-in-law Lilian Tokarz; very special great nieces Brooke Tokarz and Morgan Oteir; and caregiver and friend, Tammy Ryan.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles. A calling hour will be held at 10:00 am prior to mass, in the Church. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
