Norma J. (Godfrey) Thomas

Norma J. Thomas, 82 of Fulton and formally of Florida passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Born in Elbridge on March 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy Case Godfrey. Norma was employed for many years as an inspector with McQuay International in Auburn, and following retirement, worked at Manheim Auto Auction in Florida. In her younger years, Norma enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. She stopped riding motorcycles and sold the last one at the age of 78. Above all, she loved her family, camping and always having fun. 

She is survived by her husband Dale Walter; two children; daughter, Jean Kimberly (Robert); and son Robert Thomas (Veronica); stepchildren Dean Walter (Marianne), BonnieJo Lillyrose (Steve), Everett Walter (Melissa), Jake Walter (Amy) and Tricia Harris (Tim); two brothers, Jimmy Godfrey (Cheryl) and John Godfrey; 28 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her previous husband, Robert Thomas; siblings, Alma Greenwald, Lester Godfrey, Patricia Weatherstone and Beatrice Williams. 

Visitation will be conducted Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4 to 5:30pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr., Weedsport with a service to follow at 5:30pm in the Funeral Home.
