A huge sports fan, Owen followed the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, NY Mets and NJ Devils. In addition to traveling to Pittsburgh to watch the Mets play the Pirates, Owen's most memorable trip was treating his father to two Devil's hockey games and sitting close to the ice at the glass.
