Paul E. Scapatici

On Wednesday, February 20th, Paul E. Scapatici, 76, son of James and Sally Scapatici, passed after a short but intense battle with cancer. Paul met death on his own terms, fighting to get home to his wife and dog before the end of his battle. Paul was a 20-year veteran of the New York State Police, stationed out of Raybrook and Troop B; he served with pride for those 20 years. After that, he held a variety of positions from small business owner, to director of campus security, to happily retired main chef of the house. Paul is survived by his son, Paul Scapatici (Darci); his two daughters, Alisa Scapatici, Ph.D. (Paul Buckowski) and Lexi Scapatici; three step-children; a number of grandchildren; his former wife, Sue Scapatici; and his beloved wife, Connie Scapatici and their dog, Keeper. There will be a celebration of life in Union Springs, NY during the summer months. In remembering Paul, please remember the devotion with which he helped to protect those he loved.
