Richard H. Olvera

Richard H. Olvera, 45, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly at Upstate University Hospital on December 10, 2023. He was born in Syracuse on August 21, 1978. Richard endured many health issues during his life, but always approached each hurdle with an upbeat and positive outlook. He was an avid Yankees, Dolphins and Cowboys fan. Conversations on politics is a subject many shy away from, but Richard welcomed the opinions of others and was eager to share his own. He, along with his partner Barb, had a love for animals and together cared for their dog, four cats and a lizard. He had an infectious smile that would light up a room. Richard will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard is survived by his longtime partner, Barbara Rahrle; sister-in-law, Viola Flagg; nieces, Nevaeh and Aryianna and his good friend April, who was like a sister to him.

Richard was predeceased by his mother, Carol Olvera.
