Richard E. Stabinsky, 76 formerly of Port Byron, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in the Common on St. Anthony. Born January 28, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward and Frances Uglialoro Stabinsky and was a life resident of the area. Dick was a long time Mason, owning and operating Stabinsky Masonry. He was a quiet man who enjoyed shooting pool in his younger years and working on classic cars. At one time he owned a 1957 Chevrolet and a 1963 Ford Galaxy, and you could often find Dick at the Port Byron Diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
He is survived by his son Edward Stabinsky (Shelly); brothers Edward Stabinsky (Patricia) and Joseph Stabinsky (Michele); sister Sheila Laird (Jay); grandchildren Samantha, Jamie, Morgan, Eric and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Richard J. Stabinsky.
Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop, will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
