Richard "Spike" Godfrey, 90 of Elbridge passed away, Monday, August 30, 2021; at Auburn Nursing Home.
Over the years Spike was a tractor trailer driver, auctioneer, and stock car race driver, #2 The Deuce. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed playing cards as well as fishing. Spike cherished the time he spent with his family, he loved to have fun and make everyone laugh with his stories and jokes. Dancing with his doll, Doris always put a smile on his face.
Spike is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Doris Godfrey; his sons, Richard, Roy (Roxy), John (Tami) and Clint; daughters, Denise (Robert) Coble, Kathryn (Jim) Zankowski; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela (Bill) Valletta; two grandchildren, Lucas Godfrey and Denyel Godfrey
Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr. Weedsport, NY on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021; from 2-4pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4pm. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
