Riley G. Besner

Riley G. Besner, 22, of Auburn, passed away on November 13, 2024, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. Born in Jacksonville Illinois, Riley was the son of Michael Besner Jr. and Stephanie (Henry) Carter. Riley enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, skateboarding, going to the beach, attending hockey games, and taking his beloved German Shepard, Delta, on nature walks. He loved to work on cars, was working on building a website for a clothing line and always had a love and appreciation for music.

Riley is survived by his parents, Michael Jr. (Gina) Besner and Stephanie (Jeremiah) Carter; his siblings, Kate, Alyssa and Macie Besner, Jordan, Myah, Rylan, Wyatt and Nicholas Carter, his grandparents, Michael Sr. (Beverly) Besner, Tina Maslona, Steven Henry and Donita Henry, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Riley was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Emery and his grandmother, Patrice Klinefelter and grandfather, Allen Klinefelter.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 20th from 3:30pm - 7pm in White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23rd at 10am in St. Alphonsus Church, with interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn.
