Robert Enge Sr. Obituary

 

Robert J. Enge Sr., 91 of Sennett, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at his home. Born August 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph K. and Mildred Laude Enge and lived most his life in the Auburn area. Robert was a US Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with NYSEG as a Meter Tester before retiring after 34 years of faithful employment. Robert was a life member of the Sennett Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed bowling, playing softball and loved his camp in Forestport, NY. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Duffy Enge; his children, Karen Gordan (William), Kim Marie Turner, Kathleen George (Donald), Robert Enge II (Patricia), Michael Enge (Lisa), Mary Beth Bellnier (Chip) and William Enge (Melissa); one brother Joseph Enge (Lorraine); several loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by grandchildren Daniel Weaver and Jessica Enge; and son in law Dan "Chico" Turner. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 1:30pm in Sacred Heart Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours for Robert will be conducted prior to mass from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the church. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn. 

Contributions may be made in memory of Robert to either the Sennett Volunteer Fire Dept. or Sacred Heart Church.
