Robert E. Hoehn, Jr., 79, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Auburn Community Hospital. Bob was born in Rome, NY on Sept. 20, 1944, to the late Robert Sr. and Lucille Bush Hoehn. Bob grew up in Booneville, NY and graduated in 1968 from SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.S.in Education. Bob was a 6th grade middle school teacher for 35 years in the Auburn School District, where he also coached soccer and lacrosse. He also coached volleyball for Weedsport. He enjoyed being a ski club advisor and chaperoned the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC for many years.
Bob enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, golfing and the time he spent with his family and friends. He also loved to compete in the local annual Great Race team relay for many years either biking or canoeing. He always tried to have his family on the team and even won his team’s age group one year.
He will be truly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. He is survived by his two sons, Scott Hoehn (Michael) and Robert Hoehn III (Christina), his grandson Cooper, several cousins and his companion Cheryle Busce. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister Joy Hoehn.

AZ 85016. Following Robert's wishes, there will be no services at this time, and would rather a memorial barbeque take place later this year for family and friends.
