Robert J. Schram

Robert J. "Sox" Schram, 81 of Weedsport, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in Auburn Community Hospital, following complications with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Auburn on August 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary Whitcomb Schram and was a graduate of Weedsport High School, Class of 1961. Robert was employed with the Weedsport Police Department in the late 1960's and as a mechanic at Bill's Esso Station. He later started employment as a Corrections Officer, and following the academy, he worked in Sing Sing then Attica, prior to retiring from Auburn Correctional Facility in 1998 after 32 years. An avid Yankee fan, Robert also enjoyed gardening and the occasional trip to the casino. 

He is survived by his wife Marcia Wright Schram; daughter Nicole Delano (Jason); and two grandchildren Madelyn and Julianne Delano.

Private burial in Weedsport Rural Cemetery was held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
