Roger D. Jorgensen, 83 of Auburn passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 at his home. Born in Auburn March 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Delmar and Mildred Stowell Jorgensen and was a graduate of Union Springs High School, Class of 1961. Roger was a proud Veteran, having served with the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, playing golf and the occasional trip to a local casino. He retired from Stanton Automatics after over 40 years of faithful employment. Roger was a member of the Utopia Club in Auburn and also the Union Springs American Legion Post 1107.
He is survived by his wife, Rusty Lane Jorgensen; children Marnie Martin, Roger Jorgensen Jr. and Randy Jorgensen (Lisa Lewis); siblings Glenn (Sandy), Jimmy (Hai), Claudia Rouse and Maxine Martens (Bob); grandchildren Dakota Smoke, Sierra Martin, Kevin Martin, Whitney Haremaker, Jessica Jorgensen, Josh Jorgensen, Austin Jorgensen, Dillon Jorgensen, Justin Hodson, Paige Jorgensen, Randy Jorgensen Jr. and Donovan Jorgensen; several great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roger is predeceased by his siblings Jack, Teddy, Robert, Gerald, Kenny, June, Penny, Marilyn, Beverly, Dorothy and Sandra; infant siblings; and stepdaughter Bobby Jo Thurston.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life to take place at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Union Springs American Legion Post 1107. Military Honors will be conducted at 1:00 pm.
