Ronald C. Day

Ronald C. Day, 80 of Aurelius passed away Sunday, September 24th at home. Born as a twin on October 18,1942, Ron navigated life without his beloved twin brother Donald, who predeceased him in January of 1943. Ron was a graduate of Union Springs Central School. He worked for various manufacturing companies over the years and completed his working career as a self-employed contractor. An avid outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed hunting, golf, gardening, and tooling around with his loyal dog by his side. Ron loved square dancing and was a past President of the Cayuga Cut-ups for many years. Ron relished spending time with family, and especially his grandchildren; while recently welcoming two great-grandchildren. 

Ron is survived by two children, Dr. Jeffrey Day, DDS (Tracy) of NC and Kelly Wright (Dean) of VA; five grandchildren, Chelsea (Chris), Lindsay and Andrew Day; Curtis and Lucas Ciulla (Leah); two great grandchildren Violet Day and Connor Ciulla; his former wife Elaine Day; companion Nancy Fairman; siblings James (Mary Jo), Bonnie Anderson (Richard), Lonnie (Carol); sisters, Nancy Fleury, and Cyndi Gilfus (Harry); and several nieces and nephews.  Ron is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Bertha Day and siblings, Donald and Sylvia (Joani).

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 5 to 7PM at The Point at Sand Beach; 2924 Sand Beach Rd., Auburn. The family welcomes you to share fond memories of Ron during the celebration. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn.
