Ronald D Holmes

Ronald D. Holmes, 82, of Weedsport, passed away Friday, January 31,2025, at Auburn Community Hospital. Ronald was born in Auburn, NY on August 5, 1942, the son of the late Clarence and Mildred Mead Holmes. 

Ronald retired from the Weedsport School District where he worked in the maintenance department. For many years prior to that, he was a mechanic; he always had a love for cars. 

Ronald is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Virginia LaVere  Holmes; his children, Gina (Tom) Cook, Debbie (Wayne)VanNorstrand Ronald Greg (Lisa) Holmes, James (Diane) Holmes and Nikki (Rod)Pollock; his grandchildren, Misty, Tom, Rachel, Kayla, Tyler, Jade, Tucker, Lilli, Bryce, and Brent; nine great grandchildren; his two sisters, Millie (Tom) Pilat and Joanne (Bill) Barber; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his sister, Judie Spear.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 8th from 1 to 6 PM at the Cato American Legion, 2558 Legion St., Cato, NY 13033.
