Sandra Anne Mitchell

Sandra (Sandy) A. Mitchell, 73, of Charles Street in Auburn, passed away on May 24, 2020 at Auburn Community Hospital. Sandy was born in Auburn, the adopted daughter of the late Dominick and Angelina DeChick Cascianello and step daughter of the late, Luke Spinelli. Sandy worked many years at the Auburn Wegmans. She loved being "out in the yard" and spending time with friends, family and especially her cherished grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert Mitchell of Auburn, her sons; Robert Mitchell Jr. (Ginger) of Auburn, David Mitchell (Marcie) of Kenmore, NY and step son, John Mack (Sara) of Auburn; her step sister, Anne Marie Spinelli of Mattydale; her step brothers, Mark Spinelli of Cicero, NY and Boyce Spinelli (Cris) of Scotland, CT; her beloved grandchildren, Erin and Nolan Mitchell of Kenmore, NY, Emerson and Carly Mack of Auburn, Madison Mack of Myakka City , FL, Leah Petrosino of West Babylon, NY and Lindsay Ward (Justin) of Lodi, NY; special cousins, Vickey Brown of Fairmount, NY and Bonnie Boglione of Fort Myers Beach, FL; her sisters-in-law, Maryanne Mitchell Westover and Susan Mitchell Barbery, both of Auburn; brothers-in-law, Ward W. Mitchell (Kathy), Michael B. Mitchell, William D. Mitchell (Micki), all of Auburn; several cousins and nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, father and step father, Sandy was predeceased by her step brother, David Spinelli; brothers-in-law, Douglas (Duke) Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell and Edward Barbery. Services for Sandy will be held privately for family with interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations in Sandy's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
