Sandra K. Sherman

Sandra K. Sherman, 75, of Cato, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in the comfort of her daughter's home in Liverpool, NY, surrounded by her children. Born in Auburn, NY, on April 3, 1950, Sandra was the daughter of the late Robert and Carol Lunkenheimer. Sandra loved puzzles, word games, and watching the birds, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to lunch and the movies with her sisters. Her greatest joy was gathering all of her children and grandchildren together to celebrate holidays and big occasions. None of them left her company without hearing, “I love you a bushel and a peck.”

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Michael) Reals; her sons, Michael Sherman, Harry (Kelly Baldwin) Sherman III, and John (Michelle) Sherman; her siblings, Gloria (Chuck) Akins, Sally (Terry) Salisbury, and David (Penny) Lunkenheimer; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Harrison Sherman, Jr.; her brother, Larry Lunkenheimer; and her sister, Brenda Thompson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 7th, from 4pm - 7pm, at White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport, NY.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 13th, at 11am, in Weedsport Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra's name may be made to the Prader-Willi Alliance of NY or Hospice of CNY.
