Shirley Mosher, 87, of Auburn passed away on August 21, 2025, at The Commons on St. Anthony. Born in Auburn on July 9, 1938, Shirley was the daughter of the late Erle and Lura Durnford Townsend. She was previously employed as the comptroller at Sam Dell in Syracuse. Shirley was an avid bowler and participated in many leagues. In addition, she also taught youth bowling at the Polish Falcons for 10 years. She was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan. Shirley was an animal lover, and they equally loved her. She especially loved Scottie dogs. Above all, Shirley cherished her family and the time she spent with them.
Shirley is survived by her children, Daniel (Tammy) Mosher and Michael (Pamela) Mosher; her siblings, Richard (Joan) Townsend, Harold (Grace) Townsend, Marion (Bill) Mantz; her sister in law, Mabel Townsend and brother in law, Richard Kirk; her grandchildren Jessica, Christopher, Deric, Finley and Declan; three great grandchildren; her special niece, Tracy DeNardo, who was more like a daughter, along with her husband, Ralph DeNardo, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Richard Mosher; her siblings, Robert Townsend, Frederick Townsend, Carl Townsend, John Townsend, Florence Kirk and Virginia (William) Binns and her sisters-in-law, Betty Townsend and Joann Townsend.
Services for Shirley will be held privately for family.
