Skylynn Olvera, 30, of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2023. Born in Auburn on March 23, 1993, Skylynn was the daughter of Juanita Olvera and the late William Buck Sr. Skylynn, a beacon of positivity who touched the hearts of those around her. With a contagious optimism, she dedicated her life to helping others see the good in every moment. Known for her humor, even in oversharing, she brought laughter and warmth to every gathering. Family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she cherished moments spent with loved ones. Her affection extended to her feline companions, embodying a nurturing spirit. Though her time with us was short, her life was a tapestry woven with love and joyful memories. Skylynn will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the light she brought into our lives. May her positivity and love continue to inspire us all.
Skylynn is survived by her mother, Juanita Olvera; her brothers, Matthew (Jessica) Miles and Christopher (Tanya) Miles; her grandmother, Murial Waibel; her nieces and nephews, Tristan, Anna, Kari, Evan and Khloe and many extended family members. In addition to her father, Skylynn was predeceased by her grandfather, Raul "Chico" Olvera Sr.
A calling hour will be held on Sunday, December 10th from 1pm - 2pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. A memorial service for Skylynn will be held immediately following at 2pm. All are invited to join with the family at the Throop Fire Department, following services, to continue to gather and celebrate Skylynn. Burial will be held in the spring in Maple Grove Cemetery.
