Stacy Ann Chapin-Nunez

Stacy A. Chapin-Nunez, 43, of Auburn, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Born on May 27, 1982, Stacy was a lifelong Auburn resident. She was employed by Auburn Community Hospital for many years where she developed several close friendships with co-workers. She was known for her sense of humor, kindness, and dedication.

Stacy’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother to her children, Nicolas and Selena Nunez. She treasured time spent with her closest friends and embraced life with love, laughter, and loyalty.

She is survived by her husband, Ruben Nunez; her two children, Nicolas and Selena; her brother, Rob Chapin; her sister, Kelly Holtby, and nieces Ella and Mia Holtby; her dear godparents, Fred and Robin Murphy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and close friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Stacy was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and MaryAnne Chapin, and cousin, Melissa Murphy, whom Stacy was very close with as a child before Melissa’s passing. 

Calling hours will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South Street, Auburn, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at White Chapel, with burial to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.

Stacy’s light, love, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
