Stanleigh Pethybridge III

Stanleigh Pethybridge III, 68 of Weedsport, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at his home, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Auburn, May 9, 1956, he was the son of the late Stanleigh II and Mary Podfigurny Pethybridge. Stan was a graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1974 and was employed as a Lineman with the IBEW Local 1249 for forty years. He was a member of the Weedsport Rod and Gun Club, where he enjoyed trap shooting and puttering around and take care of projects at the club.

He is survived by his companion of over thirty years, Jean Shanahan of Weedsport; one son Craig; and daughter Jamie. 

In addition to his parents, Stan is predeceased by his brother Richard. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of life, at the Weedsport Rod and Gun Club, at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
