Steven L. Colvin, 68, of Fleming, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Steve was born in Auburn, NY on April 11, 1958, to the late Vern and Betty Colvin.
Steve was employed with IBEW Local 1249 and later spent 30 years as a private contractor. Steve was an avid reader and loved history. He enjoyed downhill skiing and snowmobiling in the winter months. Loved the lake in summer. Steve was a great storyteller; he had an infectious smile and laugh, that will forever be missed.
Steve is survived by his brothers, Tom, Bill (Carol) and Jimmy; his nephews, Michael (Lucia) and Jason (Melissa Collins); his nieces, Carly (Adam), Ally (Jimmy Giannettino); many cousins on the Colvin, Sargent, Dougherty, Gilmore and Calisprone side; special friend, Sara Cudahy; his best friend, Jim Coppola; his beloved dog, who never left his side, Phil Cooper; and countless friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 18th from 10am to noon, with a memorial mass to immediately follow at noon, all in Sacred Heart Church 90 Melrose Rd. in Auburn. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CHAD or the SPCA in Auburn NY.
