Suzanne Jane Chauvin

Suzanne (Sue) Jane Chauvin, 64, of Weedsport passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at Upstate University Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Auburn on August 25, 1959, Sue was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Giesler) Gallow. She received her degree in nursing from Cayuga Community College and was employed as an RN for 47 years. She was an oncology nurse for 10 years at the Upstate Cancer Center before deciding to attend Bryant and Stratton College and became a medical coder with Auburn Community Hospital. This was a position she truly enjoyed, until her retirement in March of 2023. Sue was an avid reader and TV watcher and was especially fond of the Twilight and Harry Potter series. Sue enjoyed a good cup of coffee and tea, loved visiting Maine, and loved sitting on her porch on warm summer nights with her family.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Lee Chauvin; her beloved daughter, Cheyenne Chauvin-Pacheco and her husband, Anthony Pacheco; her sister Lorraine (Ron) Roffe; her brother-in-law, Kevin Kelly; her nieces and nephews, Kate (Sam) Colby, Brian (Lindsay) Kelly, Brendan Kelly, Chris (Cindy) Carr and John (Gail) Carr; along with many dear family members in Canada.

In addition to her parents, Sue was predeceased by her sister, Lynne Kelly. At Sue's request, there will be no calling hours or service at this time.
