Suzanne M. Hutton

Suzanne M. Hutton, 80, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2025. Born in Auburn on October 30, 1944, Suzanne was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Woods) Rogers. She graduated from Mount Carmel High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College and her master's from Oswego. Suzanne taught elementary students for 38 years at both Blessed Trinity School and Weedsport Central School District. In addition, Suzanne and her husband, Marlin, owned and operated Meadowbrook Golf Club in Weedsport for 24 years. She enjoyed getting together with friends for mahjong, reading club and coffee on Fridays.

Suzanne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Marlin Hutton; her children, Katherine M. (Ronald Russell) Locke and Matthew M. Hutton; her sister, Jane (James) Kiser; her brother, Phillip (Lorraine) Rogers; her grandson, Luke Locke, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and longtime friends.

Calling hours for Suzanne will be held on Tuesday, January 14th from 4pm - 7pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport, NY. A funeral mass in St. Alphonsus Church will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am. Burial will take place in the spring at Weedsport Rural Cemetery.
