Terry W. Miner 64 of Auburn passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Henry “Sonny" Miner (Josephine) and Sylvia Moore and was a Veteran, having served with the United States Army. Terry held many jobs over his lifetime, including driving cab, driving tractor trailer, owning and operating his own lawn service and his last profession was working as a welder at Auburn Tank. He was an avid sports fan and loved his New York Giants, New York Yankees and especially his favorite NASCAR driver, Kyle Bush.
In addition, he loved his grandchildren with everything he had and playing Uno with his granddaughter was a favorite past time. Most of all, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family. In his younger days he was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed sipping on Jim Beam Apple and a cold Coors Light. He loved collecting Hess trucks and football cards as well as other sports memorabilia.
Terry is survived by his devoted daughter, Nicole Miner of Auburn; and her children, Evan Miner and Jocelyn Miner; a son, William Fassett of Texas; with his children, Kalib Fassett, Kyle Fassett and Ethan Fassett; his companion of more than 20 years, Lenore Smith of Auburn; his former wife and friend Donna Miner; brother Todd Warner (Casey); and sister Tammy Miner (Rick Sanders); and his beloved dog Lucy.
In addition to his parents, he's predeceased by his precious dog Tasha.
A celebration of life will be conducted at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
