William A. Chase

William A. "Bill" Chase, 87 of Holmes Road, Weedsport, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Monday, June 23, 2025 at his home. Born January 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Wesley and Matila Hoerger Chase and was a lifelong resident of the area. Bill was employed as a Draftsman for various companies over many years, including Carrier Corp. in Syracuse. He was active in the Army National Guard and enjoyed snow skiing, playing rec-league softball, basketball and golf. Bill was an avid fan of Syracuse University Football as well as a proud supporter of CJ's Pub in Weedsport, where he'd meet up with the "guys." 

He is survived by his loving wife Diane A. Swindon Chase; daughter Jill Carmody (Colin); stepchildren Sheila Snyder (Jeff), Tammy Garrigan, Kelly Sanders, Sabrina DiMora, Otis Garrigan (Jill), Shannon Wright and Shawn Garrigan (Lisa); one grandchild Remi and many additional grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Bill is predeceased by one stepdaughter Lisa Hickey; and brothers Jack and Jimmy Chase. 

Per Bill's wishes, there are no funeral services at this time. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
