William E Norton

William E. Norton, 78, of Weedsport passed away on January 16, 2025, at Auburn Community Hospital.  Born in Jamestown NY on July 13, 1946, William was the son of the late Chauncey and Ann (Hoffman) Norton.  He proudly served our country while in the United Stated Navy from 1964-1970, and the Naval Reserves, Seabees Unit from 1983-1986. William retired from Auburn Correctional Facility, where he was a general foreman in the plate shop. He was a lifetime member of the Weedsport Rod and Gun Club. 

William is survived by his beloved wife, Carie Norton; his son, Chad (Emily) Norton; his sister, Cynthia Tanner; his grandchildren, Gavin LaVigne and Owen Norton, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his sister, Marie Cathy. 

Family and close friends are welcome to join at the family home, 3323 Clinton Road, Weedsport, from 1pm - 4pm on Saturday, February 1st to gather and celebrate William's life.
