William Lee Squires, 63, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, in his home surrounded by family, 3515 Sherman Road, Jordan NY after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born on April 26, 1961, in Auburn, NY to Marie (Magee) Squires and the late Frank Squires Sr. He was a proud resident of the Town of Cato, NY, living here for 30 years. When Bill wasn't with his family, he was working at Bennett Bolts for 20 years and spent the last 6 years proudly working for J&B Roofing or working on the side, known as the "pool guy".
Bill was known for his love of hunting, fishing, racing in his younger years and most of all being a loving husband to his wife, Sandy (Cole) Squires, a loving father to his children; William Squires Jr., Selena Squires, Kayla Bartlett and Robert (Constance) Whittaker; a loving grandfather to Connor Wilde, Jackson Whittaker, Tori Wilde, Wyatt Squires, Logan Whittaker, Daxton Squires, Isabella Whittaker; a loving brother to Frank (Concha) Squires, James (Chris) Squires, Debbie (Nick) Simone and Crystal (Rene) Reyes. In addition, Bill is survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends.
Along with his father, Bill was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Helen and Daniel Reisman.
Bill is gone from our sight but not from our hearts. To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is never to die. Too well loved to be forgotten.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, May 9th from 3pm - 6pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport, NY. A graveside service will take place on Friday at 1:30pm in Weedsport Rural Cemetery.
