Yvonne L. Taylor May 24, 1956 - December 18, 2025

Yvonne Lea Taylor, 68, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. 

Lea worked in many fields throughout her career and retired from accounting in 2019. She also brought joy to many as a cosmetologist early in life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lea enjoyed crafting, reading, and riding on the back of her love’s Harley Davidson. 

She was a proud mother and grandmother, and she imparted much of her Native wisdom into many generations to come. 

She also loved soap operas and created many beautiful mulit-media art pieces throughout her lifetime that she shared generously with loved ones.

She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Anne Taylor, her sisters, Linda Radford and Cindy Grant and her lifelong love, Brian Hayes.

Lea is survived by her children, Jody Wood, Joshua (Amanda) Wood, Sr., Jessica (Ben) Nabewaniec, and Jillian Hayes; her sisters, Elizabeth and Carol Taylor; brothers, James Taylor and Hank Jones; and her beloved grandchildren, Savanna, Sierra, Chase, Olivia, Hannah, Molly, and Josh, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 29th, 2025, from 4-6 p.m., with a service to follow at 6 p.m., at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr, Weedsport, NY 13166.
